Wanda Lee (Collins) Culpepper

Wanda Lee (Collins) Culpepper, age 96 and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, peacefully departed this life surrounded by her family on May 7, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Konawa Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Chaplin Clarence Johnson will officiate.

Wanda Lee (Collins) Culpepper was born in Konawa, November 6, 1926.  She adored her parents, Afton and Audrey Collins, and her loving brother, Charles.  She graduated from Konawa High School and attended the First United Methodist Church.  Wanda was an excellent cook.  Her annual Christmas Eve dinner was the highlight of the year for family members.  She loved to watch OU games, visit with friends and family, and spoil her dogs.

She will be missed by her son, Mike Culpepper, and his wife Elayne, her daughters, Jan McIntyre, and her husband Mike, Gina Steenerson and Leigh Apperstein, and Judy Culpepper.  She was blessed with ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and grandson, Eric Burke.
