Sadie Marie Villines, 72, longtime Wolf community resident, passed from this life on Friday, November 17, 2023. Sadie was born on March 27, 1951 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma to George William (Bill) Clark and Bertie Mae (Bolin) Clark. Sadie grew up and attended school in Seminole County.
Sadie attended Summers Chapel Elementary School from the First Grade to the 8th grade and graduated from Konawa High School. She furthered her education to become a school teacher and received her Bachelor’s and Masters Degree in School Counseling from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. Sadie’s career in education gave her the opportunity to teach at Pleasant Grove School west of Seminole, Oklahoma, Vanoss, Wanette, and Wewoka Public Schools during her career. She also taught at the Vo-Tech School in Ada, Oklahoma.
In the 6th grade, Sadie’s Sunday School teacher, Sister Winton, came by the Clark home and took Sadie with her to a revival at Maud, Oklahoma where Sadie was saved. Never looking back with any regrets for going to the revival and coming to Jesus Christ as Lord, Sadie remained faithful in her walk with the Lord all the remaining days of her life. Her hunger for learning God’s Word and helping others come to the knowledge of His goodness remained a strong drive all of her adult years. Sadie loved sewing, quilting and watching her grandchildren’s sports and activities.
Sadie married Bob Villines on September 4, 1970 in Konawa, Oklahoma, and they had 53 wonderful and happy years together.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Bob Villines of the home, three sons; Bobby Villines and his wife Annette of Edmond, Oklahoma, Nathan Villines and his wife Stacy of Weatherford, Oklahoma and Justin Villines and his wife Shayla of Warner, Oklahoma, three brothers; George Clark, Ernest Clark and Herman Clark two sisters; Shirley Boren and Juanita Moore, her eight grandchildren; Hannah Keith and her husband Allan, Ethan Villines, Sarah Villines, Reece Villines, Jayce Villines, Haylie Villines, Harper Villines and Hensley Villines and a special niece Tina Stegall and her husband Billy and their children Zachary, Blake and Emma.
