Robert McCarty

Robert McCarty passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024, in Tulsa, at the age of 67.  He was born on July 27, 1956, in Oklahoma City to Robert L. and Francis McCarty.  He was a 1974 graduate of Maud High School.  He was raised in Maud, OK. Robert was very active in sports and was always outdoors.  He had a habit of making pets out of wild animals.  He was an avid outdoorsman.  Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking.  He had even hoped to own his own BBQ stand at one point.  Robert loved spending time with his family.

Robert is survived by his father, Robert L. McCarty; two sons, Robert McCarty of Choctaw, OK and Sean McCarty of Boise, ID; two sisters, Teresa Workman of Konawa and Elizabeth “Winky” Ausdenmorre of Tecumseh, OK and many other family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonnie and Cora Grooms and Clarence and Dora Ann McCarty; mother, Francis McCarty and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma.  A visitation time will follow.
