Richard Clayton Porter

Richard Clayton Porter, age 68 and a resident of Ada, Oklahoma passed away Monday, June 14, 2021 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.

A memorial celebration of life service is planned for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Konawa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Mike Cox will officiate.

Richard was born in Oklahoma City on October 23, 1952 to James D. Porter and Magel E. (Pickens) Porter.  He received an Associate degree from Oklahoma City Community College, and worked as a welder for the pipeline industry.  He married Tammatha Christine King on March 12, 2016 in Ada, Oklahoma.  Richard was a member of the First Baptist Church of Konawa, and he loved to watch crime shows on television.

He is survived by his wife, Tammatha Porter of the home; two step-sons, Joseph Dorsky and Gary Dorsky of Michigan; three step-daughters, Amy Sanderson of Konawa, Ashley Zonca and Christina Dorsky, both of Michigan; one brother, James Porter of McAlester, Oklahoma; one aunt, Alice Porter of Wichita Falls, Texas; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Beverly Marris.
