Paul Ray Davis

Paul Ray Davis, Shawnee resident, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in Shawnee, at the age of 76.  Paul was born on February 17, 1946, in Prague, Oklahoma to George J. Davis and Pearlie Jane (Case) Davis. He served in the United States Army as a Sargent E5 First Calvary in the Vietnam War.   

Paul enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles, working on cars and restoring them, playing guitar and songwriting.  He also loved raising and training horses and trail riding.

Paul is survived by daughters, Lisa Davis of California and Taloah Bain of Oregon; son, Rex Emerson and wife, Erin; brother, Clem Davis and wife, Jane of McAlester, OK; sisters, Joyce Hardison and husband, Bob of Prague, OK, Doris Vance of Paden, Oklahoma and Patricia Davis of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren, James Zachary Bottoms, James Calvin Bottoms, September Dawn Bottoms and Katherien Grace Sanford and many other family and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Norman Davis.

Graveside memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery in Paden, Oklahoma.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
