Nicholas Andre Martinez, age 67 and a resident of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Monday, August 31, 2020.

A memorial service is planned for 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 at Rock Springs Baptist Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Newman Crowels will officiate.

Nicholas was born April 8, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ezekiel Martinez and Katie Jean (Davis) Martinez.  He graduated from Yukon High School in Yukon, Oklahoma, and he worked as a meat processor for Wilson Meat Packing Plant.  He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp.  Nicholas loved to do Indian beadwork and to play softball.

He is survived by one son, Nicholas Andre Martinez, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one daughter, Suzanne Nichol (Martinez) Gray of Ohio; and three sisters, Venita Dianne McNair, Belinda Jean Pennington, and Margarita F. Moreno, all of Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Charles W. Martinez and Marvin L. Martinez.
