Manley Dale Porter

Manley Dale Porter, longtime Woodward, Oklahoma resident, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at his home, at the age of 62. Manley was born on January 20, 1961 in Italy, TX to Roy Lee Porter and Martha Ann (Arwine) Porter.  He moved to Oklahoma City in 1965.  Manley married Cindy Kay Gibson on December 10, 1977 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.  They moved to Woodward in 1984.

Manley enjoyed golfing, scuba diving and OU football games.  He co-founded several oil service companies including Falcon Wireline. He was also a member and one-time president of the OKC Oilfield Christian Fellowship. His boys always wanted to ride with mom because they knew if they rode with their dad a lecture was coming. It went the same for the grandchildren. 

Manley is survived by his wife, Cindy Porter of the home; two sons, Michael Porter and wife, Amanda of Jenks, OK and David Porter and wife, Shawna of Woodward, OK; 4 grandchildren, Jimmy Porter, Kami Porter, Masey Porter and Gabriel Porter;  2 great grandchildren, Dax Porter and Kayzlee Cornwell; brother, Louis Porter and wife, Teresa of Noble, OK and many other family and friends.

Manley was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Martha Porter.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Louis Porter, Michael Porter, David Porter, Gabriel Porter, Jeremiah Porter, and Joe Perez.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma with Pastor Jere Peterson officiating.  Burial will follow at Yeager Oakhill Cemetery located at EW 128 RD in Yeager, OK.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
