Obituary

Luke M. Scott, age 76 and a former resident of Konawa, Oklahoma, passed away on April 2, 2023 at The Grand Skilled Nursing in Bethany, Oklahoma.

A Wake service is scheduled for 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023 at High Springs, Baptist Church under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  He will be taken to the church at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.  A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2023 at the church.  Skip Foster will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery.  Casket bearers will be the members of the church.

Luke was born December 3, 1946 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Lewis Scott and Lena Willow.  He worked maintenance for the City of Konawa.

He is survived by one daughter, April Harrison of Spencer, Oklahoma; one son, Jack Harrison of Seminole, Florida; one sister, Carolyn Powers of Van Buren, Oklahoma; and eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of April Harrison; wife, May Scott; one daughter, Lena; and one brother, Thomas Rex Harjo.
