Lizzie (Fox) Downing

Lizzie Fox Downing, Seminole resident, passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021, in Midwest City, Oklahoma.  Lizzie was born on August 14, 1967, in Lawton, Oklahoma to Milo and Rosie (West) Fox.  She took great pride in her career as a Certified Medication Aide. 

Lizzie married Jamie Downing on July 15, 2006 at Seminole Indian Baptist Church in Konawa, Oklahoma.  She enjoyed playing Candy Crush, puzzles and having fun.

Lizzie is survived by her two sons, Dakotah Beaver of Seminole, OK and Kyah Fox of Seminole, OK; three daughters, Lillie Fox of Allen, OK, Jessica Beaver of Seminole, OK and Saoirse Downing of Seminole, OK; four brothers, Milo Fox Jr and spouse, Shawn of Konawa, Edmond Fox of Seminole, OK, Larry Jesse of Shawnee, OK and Bobby Sanderson of Texas; seven sisters, Katie Isaacs and spouse, Dennis of Konawa, OK, Virginia Sharver and spouse, David of Konawa, OK, Maxine Carpitcher and spouse, Jimmy of Sasakwa, Brenda Dailey of Tennessee, Shirley Wagner of Montana, Gwendolyn Wolf of Ada, OK and Christian Madron of Wewoka, OK; 12 grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Lizzie was preceded in death by her parents.

Casket bearers will be Leallen Sharver, Milo Fox III, Shane Fox and Billy Don Sanderson. 

Milo Fox, Jr., Larry Jesse, Nathan Culley and Dylan Sanderson will serve as honorary casket bearers.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

A wake service will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at noon at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK.  Burial will follow at Sand Creek Eufaula Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.
