Leota June Mears

Tulsa resident Leota Mears passed away Monday, November 7, 2022 at her home at the age of 94. 

Leota, the daughter of William and Ida (Ray) Lackey was born June 21, 1928 in Seminole.  She was married to Albert Mears.  Leota was a waitress at several different restaurants in Tulsa over the years.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sons, Dennis Mears and Teddy Mears. 

Leota is survived by her son, Allen Mears; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many other family and friends. 

There will be a viewing for Leota Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 8:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.  Leota will be buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Seminole in a private service.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
