Larry Van Beauford

Larry Van Beauford, Seminole resident, passed away at his home, on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the age of 71.  Larry was born on June 6, 1950, in Las Vegas, Nevada to Derald Van and Dorothy Pearl (Wren) Beauford.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He worked as Senior Inspector for Oklahoma State Department of Labor. 

Larry married Marie Lyle on November 16, 1974, in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Some of his favorite times were spent at the gun show.  He enjoyed shooting guns and cowboy shooting competitions.  Larry also enjoyed art and landscaping.  He was a metal sculptor and won many awards for his metal sculptures including the National VA Fine Arts Competition. Larry was an advocate for pet adoption and had a great love for his dogs and cats.  Larry loved to travel and visited many islands with his wife.  He was an avid NASCAR fan.

Larry is survived by his wife, Marie Beauford of the home; daughter, Bianca Beauford of Seminole, OK; granddaughter, Mary Ashton Loftis and many other family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma with C D Loftis and Carl Whitfield officiating.
