LaDonna Wadsworth Obituary

LaDonna Ann Nero-Wadsworth of Euless, Texas, passed away quietly at home on May 7, 2022, after a difficult battle with cancer.  She was 51 years old and the mother of one amazing son, Lucchese and beloved wife of Bernie.

LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, Dorsey and Agnes Nero and Patricia Knight.  LaDonna is survived by her husband Bernard Wadsworth; son, Lucchese Wadsworth; brothers, Hilton Queton, Clifton Queton and John Knight; sisters, Rene Queton Morgan, Kitty Welliver, Jenny Knight, Diane Nero; “sister-cousin” Shona Northcott and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

LaDonna was born on March 17, 1971, to Dorsey and Agnes Nero.  Raised in Seminole, Oklahoma, LaDonna proudly served the Seminole Nation as Jr. Miss Seminole and Seminole Tribal Princess.  After graduating as Valedictorian from Strothers High School, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.

In 2007, LaDonna and Bernie were connected through eHarmony and had their first date at Humperdinks Restaurant.  They were married in Godley, Texas, and in 2010 were blessed with their son, Lucchese Osceola Wadsworth (Luke).  As a family, they enjoyed traveling and camping in their travel trailer visiting various parks.

LaDonna worked as a special education teacher for 20 years, most recently in Hurst-Euless-Bedford I.S.D.  LaDonna was passionate about teaching and loved working with special needs children.  She was proud of her Seminole heritage and spent time teaching her siblings and Luke her tribal language and songs.  LaDonna was an avid OU football fan, and often traveled to OU games armed with posters and noisemakers.  She loved cooking, crocheting and attending tribal ceremonies and dances.  Her vivacious personality and passion for life will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Casket bearers will be Luke Wadsworth, John Queton, Brian Queton, Cliff Queton, Trey Richardson and Terry Lofton.  Honorary casket bearers will be Hilton Queton, Ralph Coker and Bill Coker.
