Wewoka resident Kristin Lyn Sarntee, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at her home.
Kristin, the daughter of Patrick Sarntee and Sue Alexander, was born October 11, 1973, in Winfield Kansas. Kristin graduated with the Winfield High School class of 1992. She then attended Coffeyville Community College on a track scholarship. Kristin proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserve. For the last several years, Kristin worked at The Grand Casino in Shawnee. As a child Kristin enjoyed trips to Seminole to visit with family and ultimately moved to the Seminole area to be with her family. She enjoyed fishing and going to her nephew and nieces sporting events and activities. She absolutely loved her little dog, Ellie, Ellie was her baby. Every year Kristin went to the drag races in Topeka with her father. Kristin always enjoyed and excelled in sports. She played softball, volleyball, basketball and track. She held the record for javelin in high school for several years. She passed her love of sports on to her sister’s children, especially Kailey.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Marty Alexander, and by her grandparents, Wilma and Oscar Danielson, and Nicholas and Neola Sarntee.
Kristin is survived by her mother, Sue Alexander of Wewoka; her father, Patrick Sarntee of Winfield, Kansas; sister and brother-in-law, Kim and John Gee, of Shawnee; a nephew, John Logan Gee and a niece, Kailey Ann Gee; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
