James "Jim" Wolff Obituary

James (Jim) Wolff, 77, longtime resident of Seminole Oklahoma, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Jim was born September 24, 1944 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin to Edward and Marie (Amundson) Wolff.

Jim grew up in both Wisconsin and Florida where he graduated from Largo High School. Jim lived his life with integrity and compassion for others. Since his passing his family has heard many stories of his kindness from those that he has touched in the community. Jim was a storyteller. He loved to tell of his life experiences and always had a story ready to share. He loved to travel with his wife Janice who he called “the love of his life”. Jim met Janice in 2005 and they were married on May 17, 2007 in Laughlin, Colorado. Their favorite places to travel were Buena Vista Colorado and Galveston Texas. During their marriage Jim and Janice traveled to over 30 US states and enjoyed experiencing each of them together especially those that offered great seafood. Jim opened Wolff Machine Shop in 1980 in Seminole. Companies would travel hours to have repairs performed because they knew that the work would be done with quality and integrity. Through the years Jim would use the business to provide jobs to those that had fallen on hard times and need a place where they could improve their situation.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Marie Wolff and his stepson James Mathew Waltman.

Jim is survived by his wife Janice, his son Todd Wolff of McKinney Texas, his daughter Tami Madewell of Seminole Oklahoma, his sister Wendy Hawkins of Brevard North Carolina, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
