Hubert "Rusty" Russell Aldridge

Hubert Russell (Rusty) Aldridge was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on September 16, 1955 to Hubert Clifford and Betty Jean (Longacre) Aldridge.

Rusty passed from this life on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at his home in Seminole, Oklahoma. 

Rusty was born and raised in the Strother Community where he graduated from Strother High School.  During his high school years, Rusty attended Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech School for courses in newspaper pressman and carpentry.

Shortly after graduation, Rusty moved to Arlington, Texas where he began his career as a newspaper pressman for the Dallas Morning News.  He returned to Oklahoma and spent over forty years at different newspapers as a pressman.  During his career, he had the opportunity to work in Jamaica, New Jersey and New York. 

Rusty loved the nature of the land and loved his animals.  His enjoyment was to set out on the back porch early in the morning drinking coffee and watching the sunrise.

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Clifford and Betty Jean (Longacre) Aldridge; wife, Sally Ann Aldridge; infant sister, Vicki Denise Aldridge; sister, Janice Aldridge Cooper; brother-in-law, Jim Cooper and nephew, Lance Cooper.

Rusty is survived by his wife, Sheila Attebury Aldridge, of the home; step-sons, Derek Moss (Lauranne) of Edmond and David McPherson, Tyler, Texas; step-daughter, Lisa Marshall, Oklahoma City; step-grandchildren, Christopher Marshall and Devonte Marshall; brother-in-law, Stacy Attebury of Tulsa; sister, Sandra Bass (David) of Mustang; special Aunt and Uncle, Bobbie and John Seifried, Jr. of Seminole; nieces; host of cousins and many other family and friends.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank Elara Caring, Shawnee and Traditions Hospice for the loving care and ministry to Rusty. The family would also like to thank Lynn and Linda Warden for being with them during this journey.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June, 18, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Highway Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Bro. Randy Shaddox and Bro. Ernest Cowden officiating.
