Helena Hope Young

Helena Hope Young, Seminole resident, passed away on April 20, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  Helena was born on February 16, 1949, in Los Angeles, CA, to Donald Elmer and Ruth Emily (Ringel) Hudson.  

Many have stories and memories of our time with Helena.  Here are a few pieces that give a little of the backstory that few of us knew.  Helena grew up in California, the youngest of three siblings.  Gloria is her older sister and Bruce her brother.  She graduated High School in 1967 and then put herself most of the way through California State University by working nights at the Occidental Petroleum Building in L.A.  Many of her courses were in religious studies.  She grew up in the Episcopal Church, and church has always been a significant part of her life.  

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Seminole, OK with Rev. Kathrin Radach officiating.
