Gregory Christopher Johnson

Gregory Christopher Johnson, Seminole resident, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, in Seminole, Oklahoma.  Greg was born on June 11, 1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Russell LaVaughn and Hattie Mae (Grace) Johnson. 

Greg married Susan Elizabeth Denman on December 26, 2003 in Omaha, Nebraska.  The priority of Greg’s life was his relationship with his Heavenly Father, everything else stemmed from that.  He was in communication with Him throughout each day, studied His word and preached His truths to anyone who would listen.  Greg loved his family and prayed for them often.  He learned natural health practices   from a young age and would spend hours reading the books in the health food stores before the internet came along.  He did his best to apply all that knowledge, attempting to restore his body to full health.  Greg was a lifelong learner!  Though he was totally blind the last five years of his life, in his younger years he had 20/15 vision, got his pilot’s license and enjoyed flying airplanes.  He also loved to go fishing.

Greg is survived by his wife, Susan Elizabeth Johnson; sons, Chad Morgan of Arizona and Shawn Scoles of Seminole, OK; daughter, Elizabeth Corso and husband, Sean of Bahrain; brothers, David Johnson of Seminole, OK and Walter Johnson of Seminole, OK; sister, Shannon Pruitt and husband, Jud of Moore, OK; grandson, Parker Corso; nephew, Benjamin Pruitt and many other family and friends.

Greg was preceded in death by parents; brother, Vincent Johnson; his first wife and the mother of his children, Odessa Morgan Johnson.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on April 10, 2021 at 3 PM in the chapel at Little Cemetery.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
