George Ed Tebe

George Ed Tebe, age 67, passed away on October 24, 2020 at his home in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born in on August 19, 1953 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to parents Rev. John Cordell Tebe and Nora (Charty) Tebe. He grew up in the Vamoosa area. He married Donna Easley on March 27, 1999 in Gainesville, Texas.

George worked as a janitor at Hardy Murphy Coliseum in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He loved cats, his Uncle Charlie and enjoyed biking and going to garage sales.

Left to cherish George’s memory are his wife Donna Tebe of Ardmore, Oklahoma, his son; James Tebe of Ardmore, Oklahoma and his four sisters; Rebecca Graham, Mary Hulbutta and Linda Hulbutta, all of Wewoka, Oklahoma and Wany Harjo of Konawa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, his uncle Kiven Harjo and nephews; Tommy Tebe and Johnson Hulbutta.

Graveside services for George will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Tebe Family Cemetery in Sasakwa, Oklahoma with Charles Burgess officiating. Casket bearers will be Jerome Hill, Thono Hill, Warren Harjo, Chuck Hulbutta, Bryant Johnson and Terence Harjo. Honorary bearers will be Norman Hill, Hal Hulbutta, Cordell Tebe and Eugene Harjo, Jr.

The family is requesting everyone wear masks, social distance and there be no physical contact during the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
