Edward Blaine Taylor

Shawnee resident, Edward Blaine Taylor, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024, in Oklahoma City.

Edward, the son of Earl Taylor and Valarie Patterson, was born December 10, 1982, in Ada.  He graduated from Shawnee High School with the class of 2001.  On March 26, 2007, he married Cyndi Mitchell, in Shawnee.  Edward was a shift manager at the Kickapoo Casino in Harrah.  He enjoyed fishing, watching football, being with his kids and playing with his dogs, and more than anything spending time with his loving wife, Cyndi.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol Patterson.

Edward is survived by his wife, Cyndi, of the home; sons, Anthoni Barela, of Shawnee, Silviano Mitchell, of Kansas, and Jace Logan, of Paden; a sister, Jade Taylor, of Shawnee; and many other family members and friends.

Casket bearers will be Robert Bierd, Alford Gruette, Keith Bierd, Ross Kinnamon and Michael McIntyre, Daniel Mitchell.  Honorary casket bearers, will be Anthoni Barela, Silviano Mitchell, Jace Logan, Donovan Suwanapala, Garrett Wano, and Ronnie Wano.

Services will be Monday, February 5, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.  Burial will follow at the Old Dance Ground Cemetery, on Moccasin Trail, west of Centerview.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
