Donna Ara (Butler) Walker

Donna Ara (Butler) Walker, age 68 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Konawa Cemetery in Konawa, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.  Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate.

Donna was born July 21, 1953 in Konawa to David Butler and Wilma (Crenshaw) Butler.  She graduated from Konawa High School and attended college at East Central Oklahoma in Ada, Oklahoma.  She became a Child Nutrition Director for the school cafeteria at Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.  She married Thomas Walker July 10, 1982 in Konawa. Donna loved her family and her grandchildren who were her life.

She is survived by her son, Austin Walker of the home; one daughter, Daisha Walker of Ada, Oklahoma; like a daughter, Sarah Blevins and husband, Rube of Paden, Oklahoma; two brothers, Dwight Butler and wife, Sherry of McLoud, Oklahoma, and Wayne Butler and wife, Joycelin of Texas; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Butler; mother, Wilma Butler Lamb; step-father, Walter Lamb; husband, Thomas Walker; three sisters, Carolyn Watts, Sharron Gladden, and Teresa Miley; and one nephew, Joey Gladden.
