Dion Duane Wildcat passed away on November 2, 2021, at the age of 40 at his home in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was born on August 15, 1981, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Wilburn Wildcat and Thomasine Betsy (Burden) Wildcat. He graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1999. Dion worked as a roughneck in the oilfield in Seminole County. He enjoyed coaching his kids and others. He also liked cooking and grilling out.
Dion is survived by his parents, Wilburn and Thomasine Wildcat, his companion of many years, Minnie Hopper, his sons; Duane Wildcat, Darion Wildcat, Dustin Wildcat, Daemon Wildcat and Demarcus Wildcat, his daughters; Mikayla Wildcat, Mindy Wildcat, Maegan Wildcat, Miley Wildcat and Macie Wildcat, his brother; Dillon Wildcat, his sister; Diandra Wildcat, his nephews; Dahntay, Darrius and Deston, his niece; Demi and grandchildren; Zane Wildcat and Kaiden Wildcat-Lena. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Minnie and Thomas Burden and his paternal grandparents; Benny and Norma Wildcat.
Dion will be taken at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 4, 2021, to Mekusukey Indian Baptist Church and the wake service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Dion will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at Mekusukey Indian Baptist Church with George Harjoche officiating.
Casket bearers will be Buffalo Hill, Levi Harjo, Jason Brauning, Monroe Carbitcher, Brandon Carbitcher and Jonathan Walker. Honorary bearers will be Sonny Dale Harjo, Dahntay Graham, Thomas Gentry, Jimmy Dean Harjo, Brent Hopper, Bill Hobia III, Frank Harjo and Tanner Harjo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
