Cornell Jackson Harjo

Cornell Jackson Harjo, Seminole resident, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 in Ada, Oklahoma, at the age of 43.  Cornell was born on January 22, 1979, in Claremore, Oklahoma to Jimmy Lee Harjo and Sherry Harjo.  Cornell enjoyed watching basketball and football.

Cornell is survived by his mother, Sherry Harjo of Seminole; three sons, Marques Harjo of Seminole, Evander Harjo of Konawa and Ivan Harjo of Seminole; two sisters, Crystal Harjo of Clewiston, FL and Brandi Harjo of Seminole; three grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Cornell was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Harjo; grandparents, Wilson Harjo, Josephine Harjo, Cornelius Harjo and JoAnne Harjo.

Casket bearers will be Raymond Pennock, Jarred Pennock, Daniel Mitchell, Patrick Harjo, Xavier Harjo and Mike Harjo.

Viewing will be Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.

Wake services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole.  Burial will follow at Harjo Family Cemetery.  Service are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
