Christine (Foster) Wood

Christine Wood of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 74. She was born on March 4, 1947 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Aaron and Emma Foster. Christine attended Shawnee Public Schools and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1967. In 1969 she married Donald Ray Wood in Shawnee.

Christine worked for over 30 years for the P.C.B. Pottawatomie Citizen Clinic. She loved working with people and was a hard and dedicated worker, as well as a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies. She enjoyed watching her basketball games and could tell you who almost every player was.

Christine is survived by her daughter; Shannon Wood and one son-in-law; Christopher Lonecheif, both of the home, one grandson; Forrest Nash, who she loved as her own, and his wife Rhonna of Shawnee, one granddaughter; Desiree Nash of Delmar, Oklahoma, who she loved as her own, five great-grandchildren; Maliq Jones, Tryson Nash, Lakiyah Johnson, Maliyah Johnson and Saniah Nash, all of Shawnee. She also leaves behind one sister-in-law, Barbara Washington, who she cherished and loved very much. She had a host of nieces and nephews, especially Georgia Washington and other family members she loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Ray Wood, brother, Robert Foster, sisters Rosie Cully, Mary Lou West, Pauline Wallace and out of respect, Waunita Factor.

The Wake Service for Christine will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2021 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole. The Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel.
