Carolyn Sue Harrison

Carolyn Sue Harrison, 66, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, in Seminole.

Carolyn, the daughter of Acie and Velma (Barker) Calger, was born January 26, 1957, in Healdton, OK.  She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School.  On March 22, 1980, Carolyn married Thomas Harrison, in Duncan.  Thomas passed away on March 3, 2013.  Until her health disallowed, Carolyn worked as the Activities Director at the Elmwood Nursing Home in Wewoka.  She was a member of Gleaners Church in Wewoka.  Carolyn loved nothing more than playing and spending time with her granddaughter, Gracie, she also enjoyed loom knitting.  She will be remembered for singing and telling stories, some of which were extremely funny.  Carolyn lived for her son, Acie, and granddaughter, Gracie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Harrison; her parents, Acie and Velma Calger; brothers, Jim Calger, Harold Calger, Danny Calger, Ralph Calger, and Ricky Calger; sisters, Peggy Bebout, Wanda Sturmon, Shirley Calger, and Jane Calger.

Carolyn is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Acie and Amanda Harrison of Wewoka, Thomas G Harrison of Wewoka, and Lenny Harrison of Wewoka; a daughter, Kerri Mann of Wewoka; five grandchildren; one brother, Donnie Calger of Shawnee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn and Richard Rains of Washington OK, Barbara Townsend of Purcell OK, Judy Calger of Seminole, and Berta and Allen Harris of Seminole OK.; along with many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 10:00 A.M., at Gleaners Holiness Church in Wewoka.  Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
