Carl Wesley Davis

Carl Wesley Davis I, Seminole resident, passed away on April 14, 2021, in Seminole, OK, at the age of 70.  Carl was born on June 18, 1950, in Wichita, KS, to Olander and Josephine (Tyson) Davis.  He worked as a cement contractor for C W Construction and Gibson Construction and took great pride in his work. 

Carl spent most of his life in Wichita, KS.  He loved his family and friends and was known to possess a great sense of humor.  Carl enjoyed playing cards and Dominos.  He loved to go hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. 

Carl is survived by his wife of 32 years, Verdelmer “Dell” Carolina; son, Carl Wesley (Knesha) Davis II of Wichita, KS; step-son, Santiago Carolina of Seminole, OK; two daughters, Tiara Wambura and her husband Robert of Shawnee, OK and Lateshia Carolina and her husband Gabriel of Wichita, KS; two brothers, Oneil (Julia) Davis of Wichita, KS and Odell (Nadia) Davis of Park City, KS; two granddaughters; 11 step-grandchildren; 13 step-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Kansie, Earnestine and Lorene.

Viewing will be Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, April 23, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, OK, with Pastor Keith Brown Sr. officiating. Cremation will follow.
