Bob Odell Riggle

Bob Odell Riggle, age 78 and a resident of Asher, Oklahoma passed away April 24, 2023 at SSM St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Asher, Oklahoma under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa, Oklahoma.  Rev. Scott Dobbs and George Hand will officiate, and burial will follow at Wanette Cemetery.  Casket bearers are Collin Simmons, Justin Todd, Dalton Harrell, Chester Burton, Keven Riggle, and Jack Robbins.  Honorary bearers are Chris Riggle and Jerry Bledsoe.  The family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Bob was born November 2, 1944 in Purcell, Oklahoma to Harold Taft Riggle and Lillian (Wallace) Riggle.  He graduated from Asher High School, and married Stella Ann Graves on December 16, 1965 in Asher.  Bob worked for 42 years as a lineman for Canadian Valley Electric Co-op.  He loved hunting and fishing, and he loved to hunt for wild mushrooms.  Most of all, Bob loved his kids and grandkids, and he also loved sports.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Stella Riggle of the home; one son, Bobby Riggle and girlfriend, Kristina Grissom of Asher, Oklahoma; one daughter, Carla Morgan and husband, Kenneth of Canute, Oklahoma; four brothers, Billy Riggle and wife, Nancy of Konawa, Scotty Riggle of Asher, Calvin Riggle of Oklahoma City, and Charles Riggle of Konawa; and two people thought of as a daughter and son, Jarrus Harris of Marlow, Oklahoma and Scooter Noland of Gore, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Megann, Kendra, Karlee, and Laney; four great grandchildren, Huntlee, Jett, Whitlee, and Austen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lillian Riggle; one brother, Eddie Riggle and his wife, Karen; and one sister, Cora Fay Riggle.
