Wanda "Sue" (Moore) Ivey , age 85 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away February 16, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Ada, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Rev. Charles Dial and Rev. Troy Byrd will officiate, and casket bearers are Ed Moore, Clinton Franks, Glenn Moore, Randy Stanfill, Jeremiah Stanfill, and Jeffrey Ivey. The family will greet guests Wednesday night from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Sue was born April 30, 1938 in Konawa to Lee Moore and Lela (Dorsey) Moore. She graduated from Vamoosa High School, and married James “Jim” Ivey on November 9, 1957 in Konawa. Sue loved sewing, going out on monthly dinners with her cousins, and attending music venues.
She is survived by one son, Kevin Ivey and wife, Edna of Ada, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jennifer Ivey of Crowley, Texas; three brothers, David Moore of Sulphur, Oklahoma, Donald Moore and wife, Eva of Waukomis, Oklahoma, and Larry Moore of Muskogee, Oklahoma; one sister, Charlene Franks and husband, D. A. of Hennessey, Oklahoma; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim Ivey; and one brother, Edward Lee Moore.
