Wade Lee Mize

Seminole resident, Wade Lee Mize, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, in Shawnee.

Wade, the son of Paul and Zelda (Smith) Mize, was born January 27, 1943, in Shawnee. Wade proudly served in the US Army National Guard. On January 29, 1966, he married Carol Ann Harrison in Maysville, Oklahoma. He was a truck driver and worked for Jordon Construction. A lifelong resident of the area, there was a time that Wade was temporarily relocated to Sadler, Texas with work. Wade loved John Wayne movies. He was a quiet man with a dry sense of humor and he could be really funny. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Connie Hughes.

Wade is survived by his wife Carol of Seminole; his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Shawna Mize of Olney, Texas, daughter; Rita Mize of Seminole, four grandchildren, brothers; Gary Mize and his wife Cindi, Danny Mize and Timmy Mize all of Seminole, and many other family members and friends.

No services are scheduled at this time.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
