Seminole, OK

Seminole resident Virginia Fay (Faulkner) Griffith passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, in Seminole, at the age of 88.

Virginia was born in Maud, Oklahoma, on September 25, 1938, to Dewey and Vera (Pratt) Faulkner. She graduated from Harjo High School with the Class of 1956. On October 8, 1957, Virginia married Bob Griffith in Ada. Together, Bob and Virginia shared nearly 70 years of marriage before his passing in July 2026. Virginia worked for Hooten Oil for several years. She and Bob spent much of their married life traveling across America in their RV, making memories along the way. She also enjoyed attending OU football games, bird watching—especially watching Cardinals and Hummingbirds—and cooking for her family. Thanksgiving was her favorite meal, and her dinner rolls and pumpkin bread were legendary. Virginia was a member of the Seminole Church of God and the Road Runner Camping Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents; her daughter, Kathy Gross; and her brother, Dewey Faulkner.

Virginia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Robin Griffith of Lantana, Texas; six grandchildren, Cody Gross, Dustin Gross, James Griffith, Nate Griffith, Eli Griffith, and Grace Griffith; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Gross, Cody Ryan Gross, Austin Gross, Kayleigh Gross, and Chase Gross; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
