Van Allen Guinn, Maud, OK resident, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 in Shawnee at the age of 89. Van was born on June 13, 1936 in Groesbeck, Texas. His parents were AE “Mose” and Gladys (Callaway) Guinn. He graduated from Maud High School. Van married Erma Delois Fleetwood on June 19, 1955 in Ray City, OK and they shared nearly 70 years together. Van was known to be a kind hearted man who also possessed a stubborn streak.

Van is survived by his wife, Erma Guinn; son and daughter-in-law, Marty W. and Sheryl Guinn; two grandsons, James Guinn and Mike Guinn; five great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Van was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Gladys Guinn; five siblings and son, Mark Guinn.

Those serving as casket bearers will be Marty Guinn, James Guinn, Riley Guinn, Joe Capen, Scott Fleetwood and Doug Fleetwood.

Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Trinity Baptist Church in Maud, OK. Pastor Butch Bradley will be officiating. Interment will follow at Cummings Cemetery in Maud, OK. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
