Valeria Diane (Nail) Silas

Valeria Diane Silas, St. Louis, Oklahoma resident, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 71.  Valeria was born on June 24, 1950, in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Jack Columbus Nail and Ruby Lorene (Foran) Nail. Her childhood was spent in Sasakwa, Oklahoma and the remainder of her life was spent in the Maud, Oklahoma and Saint Louis, Oklahoma area. She was a 1968 graduate of Vamoosa High School.  She worked as a pharmacy technician for Citizen Potawatomi Nation until retirement.

Valeria married Ronnie Silas on January 13, 1987, in Maud, Oklahoma.  She loved spending time with her husband.  She treasured time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and all of the babies.  Valeria enjoyed reading, genealogy research, shopping and life on their farm on the hill.  She was the “mother” to everyone and always worried about others more than herself.  She was caring, compassionate and selfless.  Her husband, children and grandchildren were her world, main concern and life’s work.  Valeria was the “rock” of her family and expected nothing but the best.

Valeria is survived by her husband, Ronnie Silas of Saint Louis, Oklahoma; daughter, Quitha Patterson and husband, Jeremiah of Meeker, Oklahoma; son, Chance Silas and wife, Corie of Elk City, Oklahoma; mother, Ruby Nail; four brothers, Keith Nail, Curtis Nail, Steven Nail and wife, Angie and George Nail and wife, Cynthia; three sisters, Dana Anderson and husband, Bill, Karen Fletcher and husband, Cary and Ruby Coody and husband, Farentino; six grandchildren, Jaxon Gage, Ezekiel Gage, Xander Gratrix, Kenna Silas, Peyton Silas and Harper Silas and many other family and friends.

Valeria was preceded in death by her father, Jack C. Nail.

Private services will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
