Shelly Ann Ross

Stratford resident, Shelly Ann Ross, 48, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at her home.

Shelly, the daughter of Charles and Carma (Karren) Ross, was born April 20, 1977, in Vernal UT. She and her family moved to Hartshorn, OK., then they moved to Roff, Shelly eventually settled in to Stratford. Shelly loved her family and enjoyed being around everyone. She enjoyed crafting and babysitting, if there was a baby who needed to be held, she would be the first to take over.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carma Ross; a son, Trent Hancock; a sister, Tonya Jenkins; and a cousin, Sheila Smith.

Shelly is survived by partner of many years, Billy Hancock; sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Elizabeth Morrison, of Ada, William Hancock, of Oklahoma, Jacob and Shylea Hancock, of Oklahoma, and Brent Hancock, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Trevor, of Pauls Valley; her parents, Charles and Ella Ross; ten grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Valorie Ross, of Roff, Corey and Brandy Ross, of Ada, and James and Rheysa Ross, of Ada; a sister, Jamie Harris, of Vernal, Utah; and many other family members and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., at the Family Worship Center, in Roff, with Emilio Lomas officiating. Inurnment will follow at East Hill Cemetery, in Roff. Cremation is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
