Shayla Dawn Nielsen

Shayla Dawn Nielsen, Konawa resident, passed away on November 23, 2022 at the age of 34.  Shayla was born on September 13, 1988 in Ada, Oklahoma to Donald Gene Nielsen and Sherri (Lindsay) Fixico.

Shayla is survived by her father, Donald Gene Nielsen; mother and step father, Sherri and Max Fixico; son, Cayxin Parsons; daughter, Cira Parsons; two brothers, Willie Nielsen and Chandler Lane Fixico; four sisters, Cassie Fixico, Christa Nielsen, Brandi Nielsen and Autumn Fixico  and many other family and friends.

Shayla’s child was to be welcomed into this world in January however, the Lord received that little one into His arms.

Shayla was good hearted and loved everyone.  She never met a stranger and was always ready to help someone in need.  She enjoyed painting and loved spending time outdoors making the most of country life.  Canoeing, camping and fishing were some of her favorite things to do.

A celebration of Shayla’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole,  Oklahoma.
