Sharon Kaye Allen, 64, lifelong Seminole resident died Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Sharon was born December 12, 1949 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Syble Marie (Goss) and Howard Allen, Sr. Sharon attended Seminole Public Schools and received perfect attendance awards for all 12 years. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1968, and attended Seminole Junior College following high school. Sharon was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seminole, where she also helped prepare meals for church functions. She worked several years for McDonald’s and helped train personnel when McDonald’s opened in Seminole. She worked at Braum’s and as a cashier at Homeland for many years. Sharon loved her church family, traveling and bingo. She also loved collecting post cards and had collected 45 out of the 50 states.   Sharon is survived by her brother Howard Allen and his wife, Annelt, of Seminole, Oklahoma, nephews Brent Allen and his wife Melanie and Bryan Allen, niece Amy Ballagh and her husband Garet. She was also survived by several great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Seminole, Oklahoma with Marvin Kehl officiating In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the First Baptist Church Bridge Project or the charity of their choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
