Rose Marie Keener, 86, of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away on June 7, 2026.
Born on December 9, 1939, in Shamrock, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Fred Wensauer and Madge Cloud. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Carol Keener, and her daughter, Cynthia Chandler.
She is survived by her sons, Samuel Laffoon and Daniel Laffoon; grandchildren Kevin Laffoon, Shawna Laffoon, Eric Laffoon, Christopher Chandler, Kristen Harlin, and Josh Laffoon; as well as other family members and friends.
Rose Marie attended Seminole College and became a Certified Nursing Assistant, dedicating many years to caring for the elderly. She also owned and operated Pampered Poodle Dog Grooming in Seminole.
A member of Trinity Baptist Church, Rose Marie was known throughout the community as “The Scrubby Lady.” She crocheted hand scrubbers and freely gave them away while sharing her faith and reminding others that they were special because Jesus died for them.
She enjoyed gardening and flowers, especially red roses. She also loved spending time on her farm, caring for her chickens and goats and enjoying the simple pleasures of country life.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 12554 Old Highway 99 South, Seminole, Oklahoma 74868. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
