Wewoka

Ronald “Ronnie” Ray Williams, Wewoka resident, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in Shawnee, at the age of 63.  Ronnie was born on January 30, 1960 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Walter Dennie Williams and Dorothy Thelma (Broadus) Williams. He later moved to Louisiana.  He spent most of his early childhood on a brahman bull.  He went into the military at the age of 16 and then moved around until he met his wife and started moving again.  He called Louisiana home until recently. Ronnie would like to be known as an Oklahoman. He proudly served the United States Army.

Ronnie met his sweetheart, Tracy at a church dance in Shreveport, LA in June of 1992. This was his first activity at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Tracy walked up to him and asked him if he was going to hold up the wall all night. This was the start of a 30+ year romance. He married Tracy Sanders on February 12, 1993 in Shreveport, LA. In addition to his love of family, he loved his dogs and animals with his big heart.  Beloved animals included Yodi, Cimarron, Cocoa, Annie, Danny Boy, Springer and various bunnies, reptiles and other animals.  Ronnie also had a green thumb and loved landscaping and caring for plants.

Ronnie enjoyed reading, boating, shooting and collecting.  He was a Priesthood leader in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the National Sheriff’s Association.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Tracy Williams of Wewoka; son, Tate Hansen and wife, Jamie of Dover, DE; four daughters, Andrea Jones and husband, Matt of Blue Springs, MO, Meagan Tuck and husband, Brian of Prattville, AL, Kymry Vance and husband, Dustin of Owings, MD and Nicole Ray of Blanchard, LA; eleven grandchildren, Liam Johnson, Scarlett Johnson, Brendon Ray, Ross Ray, Sydney Tuck, Jonas Tuck, Quinn Tuck, Ethan Tuck, Kaylin Vance, Bryce Vance and Hailey Vance and many other family and friends.
