Robert Wayne Leatherman

Robert Wayne Leatherman, Seminole, OK resident, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 in Seminole at the age of 69. Robert was born on August 16, 1955 in Silver City, New Mexico to Ralph Eugene and Mary Elizabeth (Bignell) Leatherman and moved to Oklahoma when he was three. He was a 1975 graduate of Seminole High School.

Robert is survived by his son, Robbie Leatherman of Cromwell, OK; daughter, Alexis LaRea Leatherman of Seminole, OK; brother, James W. Leatherman of Rush Springs, OK and many other family and friends.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Leatherman and Mary Gray; Charlett Barrett; Donny Leatherman; Bill Leatherman and Linda Leatherman.

Robert enjoyed collecting anything. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He loved raising Elephant Ears. After his mother’s death he did all he could do to please her.

A Celebration of Robert’s life will be held at Walnut Church of Christ in Seminole at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025 with Ray Newell officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, OK.
