Robert "Bob" Lee Griffith

Seminole, Oklahoma resident Robert “Bob” Lee Griffith passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 in Seminole at the age of 89. Bob was born on November 28, 1936 in Ozone, Arkansas to Theodore George and Alice Beatrice (Ellsworth) Griffith. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. Bob proudly served in the United States Army as a drill sergeant in the 82nd Airborne. He worked as a supervisor at Tinker Air Force Base until retirement. Bob married Virginia Faulkner on October 8, 1957 in Ada, Oklahoma.

Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and wood working. He and Virginia took great joy in traveling the United States in their RV together. He was a dedicated elder of Seminole Church of God.

Bob is survived by his wife of 68 years, Virginia Griffith of Seminole, OK; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Robin Griffith of Lantana, Texas; six grandchildren, Cody Gross, Dustin Gross, James Griffith, Nate Griffith, Eli Griffith and Grace Griffith; five great grandchildren, Elizabeth Gross, Cody Ryan Gross, Austin Gross, Kayleigh Gross and Chase Gross; two great great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents TG and Alice Griffith; daughter, Kathy Griffith and sisters, Elva Edgell, Susie Edgell, and Hazel Holland.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Pastor Clint Dawkins will be officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery in Seminole, OK.
