Oklahoma City resident Rhonda Kay Little, 62, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Oklahoma City.
Rhonda, the daughter of Donald Higgenbotham and Jeanetta Sue (Burgess) Sloat, was born June 8, 1963, in Oklahoma City. She attended Ardmore Schools. Rhonda had a longtime relationship with Raymond Anderson, and they remained together for the remainder of her life. She worked as a caterer at St. Luke's Methodist Church in Oklahoma City; she loved cooking and baking. While talented in the kitchen, Rhonda likewise loved the outdoors; she enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, and pipelining. Rhonda was a skilled traditional stomp dancer. But more than anything, Rhonda loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanetta Sue Burgess Sloat; her husbands, Rodney Scott, and Eddie Little; her brother Barney (Bo) Collins and her grandparents, Josephine Coker Burgess and Barney Burgess.
Rhonda is survived by her significant other, Raymond Anderson; her daughter and son-in-law, Carmen and Matt Baker, of Montana; two grandchildren, Natalie and James; a brother, Jimmydon Sloat, of Oklahoma City; cousins, who were more like siblings, C.J. Vigil, of Oklahoma City, Sherry Franco, of New Mexico, Richa Villescas, of Oklahoma City, Dino Velo, of Oklahoma City, Channon Worcester, of Missouri, and Joseph Wayne Burgess, of Shawnee; along with many other beloved family members and friends.
Viewing for Rhonda will be Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
A service is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with Jimmydon Sloat officiating. Cremation services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
