Retha Lucille (Hilliard) Plumlee

Retha Lucille (Hilliard) Plumlee, age 75 and a long-time resident of Konawa, Oklahoma passed away at her home February 23, 2026 surrounded by her daughter, Stacy Willmon-Howell, son-in-law, Tommy Howell, her sister, Carol Banta, her aunt, June Morgan, and cousin, Tifawna Winters.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa, Oklahoma. Rev. Tommy Azlin will officiate, and burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Casket bearers are Pedro Collingo, Tim Cully, Kirby Graham, Bobby Joe Hudson, Jeff Hudson, Junior Hudson, Phillip Hudson, Shawn Lawson, Joseph Plumlee, and Billy Stewart.Retha was born January 28, 1951 in Konawa to John Henry Hilliard and Vera Bernice (Hudson) Doran. She attended college and became a bank secretary. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Konawa, and she loved painting, doing arts and crafts, making floral arrangements, and more than anything, she loved spending time with friends and family, especially her great grand babies.

She is survived by one daughter, Stacy Willmon-Howell and Tommy Howell of Konawa; one sister, Carol Banta of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, Marshall Howell, Gracie Howell, and Shyla Howell; five great grandchildren, Nash Cole Howell, Wrenlee Dawn Howell, Easton Dewayne Hudson, Teviana Whitetree, and Taedyn Whitetree.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Shelly Carroll; one brother, Carl Don Lowry; one sister, Peggy Joyce Mathis; and numerous other family members and friends.
