Reggie Edward Medcalf, age 78, of Ada, Oklahoma, was born on October 20, 1947, to George and Kathryn Medcalf in Oklahoma City, Okla. He passed from this life on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at his home in Ada, OK with his wife by his side.

The family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa, Oklahoma. A private family service will be scheduled later, and burial will be at Harper Cemetery in Harper, Texas.

He graduated from Stringtown High School in 1965, where he loved to play basketball. He married the love of his life, Pamela Ann (Bode) Medcalf in 1966. They shared their life together for 60 years while raising their two sons, Johnny Ray and Joel.Reggie spent his entire life working as a banker in various towns to include Atoka, OK, Boswell, OK, and Konawa, OK, except for a brief time when he worked as the accountant for a large feed store business in Harper, TX. Reggie retired from banking in 2014. Everyone who knew Reggie also knew that he was an avid fisherman who brought home enough fish to share with others. He enjoyed cooking it and serving it to family, friends and co-workers. As Gramps and Dutch (as he was affectionately called), he greatly loved spending time with his grandkids.He was a believer in his Savior, Jesus Christ, attending Crosspointe Church in Ada, OK. Reggie was a former member of the Kiwanis Club in Boswell, OK and the Lions Club in Konowa, OK. He was also a volunteer fireman for 20+ years.

Reggie is survived by his wife, Pamela Ann Medcalf of their home in Ada, OK; son, Johnny Ray Medcalf and wife, Missy Medcalf of Franklin, TX, and Joel Medcalf and wife, Kara Medcalf of Ada, OK; grandkids, Kenna Gillett and husband, John of Burleson, TX, Jake Medcalf and wife, Bailey of Ennis, TX, Jessie Boswell and husband Jacob of Gunter, TX, Nate Medcalf, Jase Medcalf, both of Ada, OK; great grandkids Jonah Boswell and Josie Boswell; brother, Gary Medcalf of Whitesboro, TX, along with numerous in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.

Reggie was preceded in death by his parents George and Kathryn Medcalf, and brother, Georgie Medcalf.
