Raylene Marie Shultz, Wewoka resident, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 60. Raylene was born on September 8, 1961, in Olney, Illinois to Ray E. and Willene Y. (Pricer) Shultz. She grew up in Seminole and spent most of her life at Lake Wewoka. Raylene worked many years at Braums and devoted her later years to managing for Loves Country Store.
Raylene truly enjoyed lake life and spending time with her family. She loved hosting Easter egg hunts for her nieces and nephews. She’d fill dozens and dozens of plastic eggs with money and treats. The 4th of July was a favorite holiday. She’d spend a month’s salary on major fireworks for everyone to enjoy.
Raylene is survived by her two brothers, Doug Shultz and wife, Pat and Brad Shultz and wife, Tammie; nieces, Megan Murray, Kara Shultz and Casie Givens; many great nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.
Raylene was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Willene Shutlz; brother, Rob Shultz; long-time friend, Claire Curro and niece, Jennifer Shultz.
Those serving as casket bearers will be Doug Shultz, Brad Shultz, Jesse Murray, Juston Givens, Robert Honsinger, Pat White and Tammie Shultz. Gene Houck will be honorary casket bearer.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Little Cemetery with Dean Debter officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors or to St. Jude’s. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
