Ray Bristow, 59, longtime Seminole resident, died Monday, June 22, 2015 in Seminole. Ray was born June 20, 1956 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Dorothy (Hughes) and Joshua Barney Bristow. Ray worked as a truck driver and mechanic for many oilfield and transportation companies in the Seminole area. Ray enjoyed woodworking, fishing, working on cars, camping with his family, whom he loved to be with. Ray especially loved his grandchildren and being with them. Ray served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Debbie Stephens Bristow on October 28, 1974 in Seminole, Oklahoma. Ray is survived by his loving wife Debbie Bristow of Seminole, one son Ray H. Bristow and a daughter Linda G. Ketcham both of Seminole, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren Dustin Bristow and his fiance’ Hannah, Dillion Bristow, Wyatt and Savannah Ketcham and one great grandchild, Jaycee Bristow. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter ,Debra Bristow, brothers, Bob Bristow and Gene Bristow, a sister, Linda Nelson, and a granddaughter, Debra LeAnn Bristow. Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Chesser, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be held until the Memorial services on Friday. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, Oklahoma.
