Randy Ahhaitty Sr., 65 of Seminole passed away August 9, 2025 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Randy was born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Bessie (Silverhorn) and Reverend Reuben Ahhaitty Sr. He was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. Randy met the love of his life Laura Henneha in 1991 at NSU. In their time together they would have five children. Randy was affectionately known as Big Randy, RA and Uncle Randy to many. He was the cook of the family, the jokester, and loved to tell stories. He never met a stranger; he was loved by many especially his nieces and nephews. Randy graduated high school from Anadarko high school. Randy also graduated college from NEO and East Central University and became a drug and alcohol substance abuse counselor. He would later become a transit driver for the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma until 2021. Randy also was a fastpitch softball player, he would later continue coaching his wife, daughters and nieces’ teams. Randy was a lifelong OU football fan. He loved to attend all of his nieces and nephews ball games, track meets, and cross country meets. He will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Henneha, children: Morgan (Aletha), Randy, Drew, Etta, and Ina. Grandchildren Tamia, Mandy, and Ayo. Siblings: Donnie & Margaret Ahhaitty, Tuttle, Oklahoma. Verna Fitzpatrick, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Mary & Virgil Ahhaitty-Jones, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Jody Tiger, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Carol & Darrell Ahhaitty-Wetselline, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Cindy Satoe, Ada, Oklahoma. Aunts: Mary-Lou Tselee, Anadarko, Oklahoma. Iris Silverhorn, Chickasha, Oklahoma. Sister-in-law: Barbara & Chris Harjo, Holdenville, Brother-in-law: Charles Henneha Jr. & Sharon Tiger, Coweta. Randy also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews and other family members.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents: Reuben & Bessie Ahhaitty, siblings: Reuben "Punkie" Ahhaitty, Kay "KA" Ahhaitty, Geary Ahhaitty, Charlie Ahhaitty, and Deborah Jean Ahhaitty, niece: Tonya Ahhaitty, grandpa: James Silverhorn, aunts: Velma Silverhorn, Rosalyn Stevens, Phyllis Calcaterra, and Ruth Tofpi, uncles: Robert "Bo" Silverhorn and Billy-Joe Silverhorn, brother-in law: Eugene "Sonny" Tiger, father-in-law: Charles Henneha Sr., nephew: Michael Mithlo Jr., great-nephew: Silas Long.
Pallbearers will be: Stacy “Bossman” Williams, Ayo Primeaux, Lucius Saldana, Oscar Saldana, Punkie Ahhaitty, Jory Tiger, Jordin McCarty, Stephen Battice, Allen Wheeler, and Duane Wildcat. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Doc Tater, Will Quoetone, Sparky Autaubo, Sheldon Hurst, Chris Harjo Sr., Charles Henneha Jr., Junior Harjo, Jeff Silverhorn, Bruce Horse, Tony Hunting Horse, Robert French Jr., Dakota Tiger, Dewayne Ahhaitty, Manuel Lena, and John Bevins.
A wake service is scheduled for 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday August 13, 2025, at the Mekusukee Mission Gym.
Services will be Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Red Wolf Community Center, in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at the Samone Cemetery in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
