It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ralph Terry Adams on July 24, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Ralph fought a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Ralph was born in Heidelberg, Germany on June 14, 1962 to Howard Elsworth and Rosemarie Adams.
As a part of a military family, he spent most of his childhood living in various states. He spent time in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brownfield TX, Eunice, New Mexico before settling in Seminole which he proudly called home.
Ralph graduated from Varnum High School with the class of 1980. He then began a career in retail management, dedicating many years serving his customer and making lifelong friends at Safeway, Homeland and Walmart.
He met and married Jennie Roulston from that union, his first child Taylor Jo was born. He later met Amy Burris and together they welcomed his second child Raymie Rose.
Beyond work Ralph lived life to the fullest surrounding himself with friends and family. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters at Wewoka Lake teaching them how to play frisbee. He loved playing horseshoes with his buddies at Ironhead Saloon, or a good game of shuffleboard.
On any given weekend you could find him and his brother Bill on the golf course with their golf buddies Stewart and Ross Osborn.
Ralph was preceded in death by his father Howard Elsworth Adams; sister, Petra Ulrike Thurman Adams; aunts, Ruth Gibbs, Margie Barry, Irene Addington; uncles, Edgell Adams, Ralph Adams all of West Virginia and uncles, Frank and Rudy Bertsch of Canada.
Ralph is survived by his mother, Rosemarie Adams of Seminole; wife, Amy Burris of Seminole; oldest daughter, Taylor Vanlandingham and her husband Michael of Edmond; Kalee Factor and her husband Dakota of Seminole and Rayme Adams of Seminole; best friend and brother Billy Adams and his wife, Kiley of Seminole; grandchildren, Vera, Heidi, Krissy and Graham Vanlandingham of Edmond and Kingstynn Factor of Seminole; aunts June Whitney and Dora Jen Adams of West Virginia and uncle, Willy Bertsch of Germany; nephews Josh Briley, Kyle Rex and Marek Bryant of Seminole; nieces Brittnee Morris and Preslee Crowl of Seminole; several cousins from West Virginia, German and Canada; devoted friends, Shawn Clark, Mike Gamble, Ray Colburn, Rick Jones, Brett Streller and Matt Webber.
Ralph is also survived by his loving second family from IronHead Saloon. It was recently mentioned that Ralph could change a person’s day just by his infectious smile. He was very outgoing, had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, and was always the life of the party. Ralph will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A service to celebrate Ralph’s life will be held at Immanuel Fellowship Church in Seminole, OK on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Tate officiating.
