Penny Dawn Claborn passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, with her family by her side.

Penny was born on January 3, 1963, to Earmond and Norma (Shockey) Robbins, in Seminole, Oklahoma. She enjoyed working as secretary-bailiff, for District Judges in both Seminole and Wewoka courthouses for over 25 years. She also loved spending time with her precious grandchildren and family.

Penny is survived by her husband Mark Claborn; children, Derek Claborn and wife Janet, of Ardmore, Drew Claborn and wife Marissa of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Cade and Olivia Claborn of Ardmore; sister, Rosalea Robinson, of Plano, Tx; father-in-law Steve Hughes of Seminole; brother-in-law Stephen Claborn of Seminole; niece Elaine Jones and husband Tim, of Plano, Tx; nephew Dylan Claborn of Seminole; niece Madison Claborn, of Seminole; and great nephews Karson and Kaden Jones, of Plano, Tx.

Penny is preceded in death by her parents, Earmond and Norma Robbins; her brother, Ronnie Robbins; and her mother-in-law, Connie Hughes.

Memorial service will be Monday, December 8, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with Carl Whitfield officiating. Guests are encouraged to wear purple in honor of Penny’s favorite color. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, at www.lupus.org. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
