Peggy Tate

Peggy Jo (Merrell) Tate, longtime Seminole County resident, died Thursday, November 30, 2006, at Ada Retirement Center in Ada, at the age of 61. She was born on January 24, 1945 in Konawa to Ottie & Vida (Bowerman) Merrell. She married Claud Tate in 1970 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She worked at Wal-Mart in Seminole for several years and was a member of Wolf Free Will Baptist Church. rnShe is survived by her husband Claud Tate of the home; one son, Steven Tate of Wewoka; two daughters, Carolyn of Wayne, OK and Rachel of Konawa and one granddaughter.rnShe was preceded in death by her parents and one son, John Andrew Tate. rnGraveside services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Vamoosa Cemetery.rnServices are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.
