Patricia Ann Hawkins Sullivan, long time Seminole Oklahoma resident, passed away on November 12th, at 4:00 A.M. in Seminole at the age of 86, surrounded by her loving family.
Pat was born on March 2, 1939 in Centralia, Illinois to Verna M Franklin and Alex Hawkins. She graduated from Will Rogers High School of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pat moved to Dallas, Texas, and worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield as a control 4, grade 5 claims adjustor for 7 years, until she moved to Seminole, Oklahoma and went to CNA school in Oklahoma City. She then worked at Pioneer Nursing Home in Seminole as a CNA and medicine aid for 15 years. She loved planting flowers and growing tomatoes in the warm weather, watching her soap operas and reading, especially her daily devotional “Jesus Calling” books.
Pat is survived by her sister, Gina Pace and husband Rodney of Seminole, Oklahoma. There was a 25-year age difference between the sisters so they were like mother and daughter, as Pat had no children. Also surviving Pat are her niece, Lauren Pace and Joe Martinez, nephews Austin Thomas and Lauren Mantooth, Brendan Pace and wife Audrey, all of Seminole, Oklahoma; niece, Marsha Aaron and husband Coby, of McKinney, Texas, niece, Ronica Rhude and husband of Kansas City, Missouri; a very special aunt, Veva Simmons, of Seminole, Oklahoma, and many cousins.
Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Verna Mathews, her father, Alex Hawkins, husbands of 10 years and 18 years respectively, Donald Smith and Robert L Sullivan; nephews, Bobby and Billy Hawkins; and many special aunts and uncles.
A private, family, graveside service is scheduled, with services under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
