Seminole resident, Patricia Ann (Lasley) Morris, 87, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at her home.
Ann, the daughter of Raymond and Laura Belle (Clark) Lasley, was born November 4, 1938, in Cherokee, Oklahoma. She graduated from Pryor High School; received a degree from Oklahoma A & M at Miami; received BS and Master’s degrees from East Central at Ada; E.D. Certification from Texas Tech at Lubbock; and Administrative Certification at OU. Ann married Phillip Morris, on March 27, 1959, at Amarillo Air Force Base, Texas. Three children were born of this marriage: Phyllis, now Wallace; Patricia K. now Crabbe; and Alan.
She taught math, science, home economics, special education; was Junior High principal at Carnegie for 6 years; was Junior-Senior High Principal at Strother for 9 years; was District Federal Program Director at Bowlegs, Carnegie, and Strother Public Schools. Also taught at Apple Valley, California; Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; Shreveport, Louisiana; Ankara, Turkey; and Big Springs, Texas.
Ann and Phillip enjoyed camping, boating, farming, and their grandchildren. Ann also enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and reading. In earlier years, she had been the Base Chapel Sunday School Teacher and Teacher Instructor, as well as High School Youth Leader.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Laura Belle Lasley; her husband, Harry Phillip Morris; a grandson, Jacob Wayne Crabbe; son-in-law Dr. J.B. Wallace; and brothers, Jim Lasley and Don Lasley.
Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Phillip Alan Morris & wife Tommie of Seminole; daughters and son-in-law, Phyllis Ann Wallace of Ada, OK, and Patricia Kay Crabbe & her husband Don Crabbe, of Cabot, Arkansas; grandchildren, Amy Ballagh, Bryan Allen and his wife Jessica, Brent Allen and his wife Melanie, Laura Gray, Eric Gray and his wife Kourtney, Angela Wacha and her husband Scott, Krystal Carey and her husband Chance, Scott Enderson, Kara and husband Nick Thomas, Kelli Lautenschlager and her husband Dave, and Kristal Giesel and her husband Joshua; 27 great grandchildren, with two on the way; numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that donations be made in Ann’s name to the charity of your choice.
Casket bearers will be Richard Duggins, David Morris, Bryan Allen, Brent Allen, Scott Enderson, and Eric Gray.
Services will be Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole, with the Reverend John Rumsey, Pastor Dave Lautenschlager, and Pastor Glen Pence officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.
