Patricia Kaye Moore

“Honor her for all that her hands have done, and

let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31

Patricia Kaye Moore passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on July 9, 2025. The fourth of eighteen children, Patricia was born in Holdenville, OK, to Joseph and Velma Anson on October 6, 1947.

She grew up in Seminole where she graduated from New Lima High School in 1965. She married her high school sweetheart Tommy Moore in May of 1968 six days after his return from Vietnam, and the two were happily married for more than 57 years. They spent many years living in Chandler before returning to Seminole. They provided a beautiful, joy-filled example of devotion and enduring love; they remained true sweethearts who adored each other from their first date and throughout their marriage. Patricia was an incredible wife and mother who found great joy in staying home to raise her four daughters – Tracy, Kathy, Robin, and Erin.

Patricia was an amazing cook and baker and enjoyed sharing her talents in the kitchen with her children and grandchildren. Always up for an adventure, she loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting with her husband, and was frequently in pursuit of a trophy bass. The family’s vacations were often trips to the mountains, and trips to the lake were a regular summer occurrence. She spent many years serving in the church through active engagement in the Altar Society and much more; her dedication to her faith was visible throughout her life. She put her faith to work through serving others. No matter the need, she would provide support, often along with a casserole or dessert. She loved the quest of a good garage sale bargain and treasured the time zipping between sales with her sisters. She had a fantastic sense of humor and loved a good (harmless) practical joke. She would laugh out loud at classic cartoons so much that her family had more fun watching her than the show. Her laugh was contagious, and she was often quick with a funny one-liner. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with family, especially her ten grandkids, and she could be found playing and reading with them every chance she had.

Patricia is survived by her husband Tommy, daughter Kathy Argyle (and Lerell) of Randolph, UT; Robin Fuxa (and Barry) of Stillwater, OK; Erin Thornton (and Albert) of Hartshorne, OK; son-in-law Ron Burnett of Glencoe, OK; grandchildren Hayden Burnett, Sutton Burnett, Ty Argyle, Holt Argyle, Kaell Argyle, Rell Argyle, Emery Fuxa, Carver Fuxa, Hadlie Thornton, and Brady Thornton; siblings Linda (and Ross) Donnelly, Joseph (and Becky) Anson, Chris (and Teresa) Anson, Jerry (and Karen) Anson, Mary Black, Doris (and Lloyd) Perry, Teresa Dice, Annie Gillespie, Priscilla Freeman, Pam (and Jim) Browning, Sue (and Tom) Wolf, Robert (and Terry) Anson, David Anson, Eddie Anson, Lisa (and Pat) Lee, Danny (and Kim) Anson, sister-in-law Mary Jo Greening, sister-in-law Karen Barkhimer (and Steve), and nieces and nephews almost too numerous to count.

She is preceded in death by her oldest daughter Tracy Burnett, her parents Joseph and Velma Anson, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Russell and Lorene Moore, sister Kathleen Heard, brothers-in-law Buddy Heard and Billy Gillespie, nieces Jennifer Gillespie and Tina Conatser, and nephew Richard Heard.
